Artificial Intelligence Stamp At SAP Sapphire Event – Last Minute Economy News

At the SAP Sapphire event in Orlando, SAP showcased its extensive innovations and partnerships that enable customers to face an uncertain future with confidence.

SAP has announced that it will build strong AI capabilities into its portfolio to enable customers to solve business-critical problems. The statement included a number of improvements to SAP Business AI, including innovations that personalize customer interactions, make procurement more efficient, and increase organizations’ ability to source and develop critical talent across the workforce.

With prominent announcements including AI built into business solutions, ledger-based accounting for carbon tracking, and industry-specific networks to support supply chain resilience, SAP is helping customers move their business models to the cloud. This is how companies put sustainability at the heart of their business and increase their flexibility to be successful in ever-changing circumstances.

Speaking at the event, SAP CEO Christian Klein said, “In a world characterized by market disruptions, changing regulations and a shortage of critical skills, our customers are choosing SAP for the solutions they need to solve their most pressing problems.” The innovations we are announcing at SAP Sapphire leverage our heritage of responsibly engineered enterprise technology designed with decades of industry and process expertise to help our customers succeed now and in the future.”

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SERVING THE BUSINESS WORLD

Leveraging the power of its rich ecosystem to benefit customers, SAP is announcing another step in its longstanding partnership with Microsoft. The two companies will work together to integrate SAP SuccessFactors solutions with Viva Learning and Copilot into Microsoft 365 and Azure OpenAI to access powerful language models that analyze and generate natural language. The integrations will deliver new experiences designed to improve how organizations attract, retain and upskill their employees.

AN IMPORTANT STEP IN SUSTAINABILITY

Fifty years ago, SAP revolutionized financial accounting with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Today, SAP is reinventing the “R” in ERP by expanding the resource definition to include carbon.

Amid rapidly changing regulatory requirements and growing stakeholder pressure to operate sustainably, organizations need an emissions accounting system that is as auditable, transparent and reliable as their financial records. SAP’s new Green Ledger (green cold wallet) solution, which takes businesses from carbon predictions to real data, enables companies to manage their green lines with clarity, accuracy and confidence, just like in the profit and loss statement.

SAP has announced an update to SAP Sustainability Footprint Management, a single solution for calculating and managing emissions at the enterprise, value chain and product level. SAP also introduced SAP Sustainability Data Exchange, a new solution that enables organizations to securely share standardized sustainability data with partners and suppliers to accelerate the decarbonisation of their supply chains.

SAP’s Green Ledger solution will also be included in RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP.

INNOVATIONS IN PORTFOLIO, PLATFORM AND ECOSYSTEM INCREASE CUSTOMER RESISTANCE

SAP also announced a number of other innovations in its portfolio. For example, the SAP Business Network for Industry announced, leveraging the success of SAP Business Network, a comprehensive B2B collaboration platform with approximately $4.5 trillion in trade annually. This platform combines the benefits of networked supply chains with SAP’s unparalleled industry expertise to enable customers in consumer products, hi-tech, industrial manufacturing and life sciences to rapidly increase supply chain resilience.

Innovations launched in the SAP Business Technology Platform significantly accelerate business process optimization and enable scalable business automation. Advances in SAP Signavio mean customers gain critical process insights in hours, not days. SAP Integration Suite updates bring together holistic processes across SAP and non-SAP systems on-premises and in the cloud. The new event integration capabilities in SAP Build, SAP’s low-code solution, enable business professionals to activate automations across all business processes.

As customers face increasingly fragmented data environments, SAP has developed its commitment to accessing data with Google Cloud, enhancing their ability to create deep, actionable business insights. This comprehensive open data solution allows customers to use the SAP Datasphere solution together with Google’s data cloud to create an end-to-end data cloud that covers enterprise-wide data.

As the need for developers continues to grow with the accelerating pace of technology innovation, SAP has doubled its commitment to upskilling two million people worldwide by 2025. To continue to support customers’ ongoing business transformation in the cloud, it has announced new programs to meet the growing demand for SAP experts across the ecosystem.
