Bayraktar AKINCI hit a full hit from 140 kilometers with the UAV-230 missile – Last Minute Turkey News

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA broke ground again. The KKS/ANS guided UAV-230 missile, fired by Bayraktar AKINCI at the Sinop Shooting Range, hit the point 140 kilometers away on the Black Sea with a direct hit.

According to Baykar’s statement, the integration of new domestically produced munitions and systems into Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which was nationally and originally developed by Baykar under the Bayraktar AKINCI project, will be carried out under the leadership of the Presidency of the Defense industry, with success.

The test firing of the IHA-230 missile, Turkey’s first air-to-surface supersonic missile developed by Roketsan, on Friday, March 31, 2023, was successfully completed. Bayraktar AKINCI, who took off from AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, went to Sinop to conduct a long-range fire test. The KKS/ANS guided UAV-230 missile, fired by Bayraktar AKINCI at the Sinop Shooting Range, hit the point 140 kilometers away on the Black Sea with a direct hit.

“INCREASE HIS RESILIENCE”

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA hit its target again with a supersonic missile as part of the test firing. The UAV-230 missile, which has its own propulsion power, will be effective against targets miles away from the TİHA with its long range and high hits. Thus Bayraktar AKINCI’s deterrence increased even more as the ammunition he used was diverse in terms of quality and quantity.

As a result of a competitive process, Baykar left its American, European and Chinese competitors behind and started 2023 with the $370 million Bayraktar TB2 export contract, with the agreement signed with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense.

EXPORT LEADER OF DEFENSE AND AVIATION INDUSTRY

Baykar, which has self-funded all of its projects from start to date, has earned 75 percent of all its revenue from exports since the UAV R&D process began in 2003. In 2021, it became the export leader of the defense and aerospace industry, according to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). Baykar, whose export rate was 99.3 percent in contracts signed in 2022, made an export of $1.18 billion. Baykar, the largest exporter of the defense and aerospace industry, will have a turnover of USD 1.4 billion in 2022. Export agreements have been signed with 28 countries for Bayraktar TB2 SİHA and with 6 countries for Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA.
