Electromagnetic stimulation method for endometriosis! – Health news

Gynecology Obstetrics and IVF specialist Prof. Dr. Erkut Attar said they had positive results in the treatment of pain with the ‘electromagnetic stimulation’ method in the treatment of endometriosis and pelvic pain. Stating that the method used in various industries is very new in the treatment of endometriosis, Prof. Dr. Attar stated that it aims to relieve pain with “vibrations delivered to endometriosis foci at appropriate frequencies”. He also emphasized that this method is easy and reliable as it is not an interventional method.

prof. Dr Erkut Attar said: “When patients received electromagnetic stimulation at certain rates, there was an increase in uterine thickening. Studies on the effect of electromagnetic stimulation therapy on this topic and on cases of ovarian failure are continuing.

“WOMEN HAVE TO LIVE WITH SEVERE PAIN THAT REDUCE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE”

Emphasizing that endometriosis is commonly seen in women of childbearing age, it can be seen in any period including menopause. Dr. Erkut Attar continued his words as follows:

“These women experience severe pain in the abdomen-groin, vagina-vulva, musculoskeletal system and bladder. Even with this widespread pain, various stomach and intestinal problems can occur. While 30 percent of women struggle with infertility, they can experience severe pain during intercourse. This, of course, greatly affects social life and even married life. Anxiety, depression and sleep disturbances can also be seen in the disease. We are progressing according to the results we have achieved in the treatment of pain in endometriosis patients.”

“BASED ON VIBRATIONS ON THE PATIENT’S TARGET TISSUE”

Claiming that even if endometriosis patients are treated with drugs or surgery, the risk of the pain returning is high and therefore different treatment methods may be needed at different time periods. Dr. Erkut Attar explained that electromagnetic stimulation therapy, which is just being used in this field, is one of the current treatment approaches.

prof. Dr. Atar provided the following information about the application:

“Electromagnetic stimulation therapy is based on vibrating the target tissues of the patient at certain intervals and for a certain amount of time. The electromagnetic stimulation device we use is a product of technical and medical research conducted at Seoul University. As with an acupuncture treatment, there is no surgery or intervention directly on the patient. Electromagnetic frequency is only applied to the patient within a certain time at certain power intervals. If the patient comes to the clinic with many different complaints, we may be able to apply this without the need for other branches.”

“IT IS APPLIED WITHOUT TAKING A LOT OF TIME FROM THE PATIENT”

According to prof. Dr Erkut Attar said: “In this treatment it is important that the patient takes his time and comes regularly. If we get a positive result after the first month, we can stop the treatment and repeat it after a while. Because it is a treatment that is spread over time, it can be repeated if necessary.”

“ENDOMETRIOSIS IS ONE OF THE MAJOR DISEASES CAUSED BY INFERTILITY”

Emphasizing that the diagnosis of endometriosis in women in Turkey is usually made with complaints of infertility, Prof. Dr. Attar continued his words as follows:

“Because women in Turkey are not sensitive to pain and generally don’t dwell on their pain. There are wrong approaches such as ‘it will get better if you get married, it will get better if you have a child’. However, if endometriosis is not diagnosed early and progresses, it affects women both socially and in the workforce. This causes psychological problems. It seriously reduces the quality of life. It is one of the main diseases that cause infertility. But since it is a chronic disease, it is important that a woman learns to live with this condition.”

“WE HAVE STUDYED INTO ITS USE IN IVF TREATMENT AND EGGS FAILURE”

“In some endometriosis patients; There may be a problem with the embryo sticking to or implanting in the uterus. We think that in these cases we can benefit from the method of electromagnetic stimulation or in vitro fertilization diseases where the uterine wall cannot be sufficiently thickened,” said Prof. Dr. Attar, continuing his words as follows:

“Apart from that, we have observations that this treatment can be successful in cases of early ovarian failure. When these patients come to us for IVF, we first start with a treatment of 3-6 sessions. This method, which is used just all over the world for pain treatment. Our research into its use, especially in the field of infertility, continues.”
