However, drinking coffee on an empty stomach can have a negative impact on your body’s health. Recent research has revealed all the facts about drinking coffee on an empty stomach.

Gastric acid

Drinking coffee on an empty stomach can cause heartburn. For those who don’t know, heartburn refers to a burning pain or discomfort in the upper part of the chest and in the middle of the chest. It can be caused by several factors. Coffee starts the production of stomach acid, which will lower the pH of your stomach.
