No one cares about this symptom! The most insidious symptom of liver cancer

The liver is a football-sized organ located in the upper right part of the abdominal cavity, below the diaphragm and above the stomach, and its size varies with age and sex. The liver is a vital organ in our body.

We can’t do without it. As in the kidney, a dialysis-like system developed for the liver has unfortunately not yet been invented. The liver has many functions in our body such as digestion, detoxification, production or transformation of necessary structures for the body, immune system and stopping bleeding.

Liver cancer:

Liver cancer can be divided into two: primary liver cancers originating from primary liver cells, and metastatic liver cancers, which result from cancers in other organs such as breast and colon that have spread to the liver.

Primary liver cancers also have different types of cancer.

The most common type of liver cancer is hepatocellular carcinoma, which begins in the main liver cell (hepatocyte). Other types of liver cancer, such as intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and hepatoblastoma, are less common.

What Are the Symptoms of Liver Cancer?
In liver cancers, they often cause no symptoms in the early stages. Symptoms usually occur in an advanced stage. The symptoms are usually as follows;

– Involuntary weight loss, weakness and fatigue
– Decreased appetite, nausea and vomiting

– Abdominal pain and swelling
– Yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes (jaundice).
– White, light-colored large toilet and dark-colored urine
– If you have any of these symptoms, you should contact your doctor immediately.

HOW LIVER CANCER PREVENTS:

Liver cancer, like most cancers, occurs when changes (mutations) occur in the DNA of liver cells (the material that provides instructions for every chemical process in your body). As a result, cells begin to grow uncontrollably and eventually cancer cells form tumors and gradually invade surrounding tissues.

WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF LIVER CANCER?
As with most cancers, associating it with a direct factor in liver cancer is incorrect. However, the factors that increase the formation of liver cancer are well known.

FACTORS THAT INCREASE THE RISK OF PRIMARY LIVER CANCER:
Chronic infection with the hepatitis B virus (HBV) or the hepatitis C virus (HCV) increases the risk of liver cancer.
Cirrhosis increases your chances of developing liver cancer.
Certain inherited liver diseases increase the risk of liver cancer. Such as hemochromatosis and Wilson’s disease.

People with diabetes have a higher risk of liver cancer than people without diabetes.
Fat accumulation in the liver without alcohol increases the risk of liver cancer.
– Exposure to aflatoxins. Aflatoxins are toxins produced by fungi that grow on crops stored under poor conditions. Crops such as corn and peanuts can be contaminated with aflatoxins.
