This problem is getting worse! Here are the factors that most cause fatty liver disease.
Saying that liver fat is split in half according to the cause, said Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Mücahit Gür said, “There are two types of fatty liver disease due to alcohol and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. In the later stages of simple fatty liver disease, liver scarring from liver inflammation can occur. Liver scarring is also called liver fibrosis and the development of severe liver fibrosis can cause cirrhosis.
“CAN NOT APPLY EARLY”
Dr. Dr. Gür said: “In general, most people make progress without realizing it. However, in advanced cases, symptoms such as a feeling of heaviness or fullness in the abdomen, abdominal bloating, tiredness or weakness, yellowing of the skin (jaundice), loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, tenderness and pain in the liver area.
“ALCOHOL AND OBESITY THE MOST COMMON CAUSES OF LIVER LUBRICATION”
Dr. Dr. Gür explained the causes of fatty liver as follows: Alcohol consumption: Excessive and continuous alcohol consumption can increase the synthesis of fatty acids in the liver and lead to fat accumulation. Obesity: Fatty liver disease is more common in overweight and obese individuals. Diabetes: High blood sugar levels can cause fatty deposits in the liver. High blood triglyceride levels: High blood triglyceride levels can increase the accumulation of fat in the liver. In general, high carbohydrate and fatty diets, sedentary lifestyle and genetic factors can influence triglyceride levels. Rapid weight loss: Rapid weight loss and low-calorie diets can increase the accumulation of fat in the liver. Insulin resistance: Insulin resistance is a condition in which the body’s cells have a reduced ability to respond to the hormone insulin. Insulin resistance can contribute to the accumulation of fat in the liver. Genetic factors: Certain genetic factors can increase an individual’s risk of developing fatty liver disease. Medications: Some medications can cause fat buildup in the liver, especially if used long term. For example, corticosteroids and some cancer drugs can cause fatty liver disease. Fatty liver disease can be caused by a combination of several factors. Risk factors such as fatty eating habits, sedentary lifestyle, alcohol consumption, obesity and genetic predisposition can cause this condition.
“FATTY LIVER MAY CAUSE THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOME DISEASES”
Referring to the diseases that can be associated with fatty liver disease, Dr. Gür said: “In advanced cases, fatty liver disease can lead to fibrosis (scar tissue) and cirrhosis of the liver. It may increase the risk of liver cancer, and risk factors for cardiovascular disease, such as high blood triglyceride levels, high blood pressure, insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome, may increase with fatty liver disease. Fat accumulation in the liver can reduce the effect of insulin and contribute to the development of type 2 diabetes. Fatty liver can increase the risk of metabolic syndrome, along with factors such as obesity, high blood pressure, high blood triglyceride levels, low cholesterol levels, and insulin resistance . Metabolic syndrome is a risk factor for heart disease, type 2 diabetes and other health problems.
