Dietitian Heval Koçak, who said that dietitian is a field that calculates the nutritional and energy needs of the individual and prepares a healthy nutrition program, stated that you organize medical nutritional treatment in chronic diseases and ensure that the increasing needs of the athletes are met correct food groups.

According to Koçak, dietitians are employed in some organizations, such as the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, especially in the past 6-7 years, and said, “One of the main reasons for this is obesity. Noting that obesity started in childhood and has increased globally over the last 30 years, Koçak said: “The fight against obesity must start from childhood. Over the past 30 years, the prevalence of obesity in both adolescents and children has increased globally, but in this period, obesity is one of the most common chronic childhood diseases.

Koçak said that obesity is now a social problem and they serve in diet outpatient clinics in hospitals: “Our patients submit the first application to our doctors. outpatient clinic, our patients with weight problems, patients who want to gain weight, we organize medical nutritional treatments following the requests of our patients with chronic diseases.

Koçak noted that dieticians provide adequate and balanced nutrition services not only by working in hospitals, but also through organizations that provide mass nutrition services. in hospitals, but also in corporate kitchens, restaurants and hotels offering mass food services. “It also ensures timely, adequate and balanced food service to the consumer. In addition, dietitians also ensure that menu planning and application of the menu in the nutrition system, preparation, cooking and appropriate consumption of food.”
