What are the conditions for exemption from military service?

Military service is known as the national duty that every Turkish man must fulfill. If there is no reason for delay or an unfavorable situation for conscription, the conscription must be fulfilled. At the beginning of these situations, it is possible to say that health problems are common.

Every healthy Turkish man who has reached the age of 20 should join the army. If there is no valid reason for deferment or exemption, one who does not join the unit by a specified time may be considered a deserter.

In order to exempt the person from military service, the “Not fit for military service” report must be obtained after the doctor’s examinations.

Various radiological examinations and laboratory tests must be carried out to understand whether the conscripts are fit to perform their duties.

Bilirubins, TSH, LDH, total cholesterol, triglycerides,

sedimentation and complete blood count,

Blood urea and creatinine, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine aminotransferase (ALT),

ultrasound,

Anti-HIV, Anti-HCV, HBsAg,

Electrocardiography (ECG),

fasting blood sugar

echocardiography,

It can be expressed as a direct chart of the urinary system.

Apart from these tests, various laboratory tests can be performed if necessary. According to the Turkish Armed Forces Health Capability Regulation article, there is a group of people who are fit for military service and those who are not. It is known that people who do not have problems fall into the A part of the list of Diseases and Disorders. People who are not fit for military service are known to fall into the B and D segment.
