Kerim Frei was born in 1993 in Feldkirch, Austria. Originally Turkish, Kerim’s father emigrated to Switzerland and married a Moroccan woman. Frei, who started his football career at the age of five in the Swiss FC Au-Heerbrugg team, moved to FC St. Gallen transferred. In 2006 he moved to the Grasshopper team. Frei, who wanted to go abroad after his studies here, was about to transfer to AS Roma, but that transfer fell through at the last minute. So instead of returning to Grasshopper, he started training with his dad. Kerim Frei, who later played in teams such as Fulham FC and Beşiktaş, started playing at Fatih Karagümrük in 2021.
Transferred from Fulham FC to the England team in 2010, the athlete began playing in Fulham’s U-21 team at the end of the 2009-2010 season. He made his first A team appearance on July 7, 2011 with the UEFA Europa League match against Faroe Islands team NSÍ Runavík. He made his Premier League debut on December 10, 2011, away from Swansea City. After playing for Cardiff City for a while, he returned to Fulham FC shortly afterwards.
